How Did You Become a Locksmith?
I started my career in customer service and quickly developed a passion for locks and key systems. Over time, I gained experience in cutting, programming, and maintaining all types of keys—domestic, commercial, and automotive—both in-store and on-site. This hands-on experience, combined with my curiosity about how locks work, eventually led me to my current position as a locksmith at Wynns Locksmiths.
What Do You Enjoy Most About Being a Locksmith?
The part I enjoy most about being a locksmith is the problem-solving aspect. Whether it’s rekeying a lock, making a replacement car key, or troubleshooting a complex system, every task feels like solving a unique puzzle. It’s incredibly satisfying to help people secure their homes, businesses, and vehicles while improving my own skills along the way.
What Excites You About the Locksmith Industry?
The rapid advancement in digital technology and smart locks is what excites me the most. The industry is evolving quickly, with new developments like electronic access systems and keyless solutions becoming more prevalent. I’m passionate about learning how these systems operate and staying ahead of the curve in this dynamic and growing field. It’s an exciting time to be in the locksmith and security industry!
