Meet Max Yan –
How long have you been with Wynns Locksmiths, and what’s your current role?
I recently joined Wynns and it will be three months now with the team. I work in the accounts mainly handling payments, accounting tasks and helping customer on their inquiries.
What first drew you to locksmiths (or the security industry)?
I discovered Wynns before joining them and I loved how they have the presence in the industry, and being able to maintain that image over the long term. It is also good to know and feel that you are working in an industry where you are able to provide service and products what makes the people feel secure and at ease.
What do you enjoy most about your work at Wynns?
Most enjoyable thing would be the team work here. We are here daily 8 to 5 answering calls, making sure everything is properly done and having a good team helps in a long term. I love the positive energy and that everyone is being able to take responsibility of what their work is.
Is there a project, challenge, or moment you’re particularly proud of?
I guess there are small wins in everyday for me and my team. Whenever we are able to help ease our customers inquiries, or obstacles, those are the moments I enjoyed together with team.
What’s something people might be surprised to learn about your role or the Preston branch?
Although I work in accounting, it is surprising to know that most of the work comes from and relates to our customer inquiries. Instead of spending time looking at the spreadsheets, our works mainly evolve around answering questions, solving things for our customers, and making sure that everything is aligned behind the scenes.
What keeps you motivated or inspired in your day-to-day work?
Working in the security industry, I believe that we are already trusted by our customer and having them reliable on us whenever they need help. And being someone on the other end of the line and making sure their request is directed to the correct department and being able to help is something I can work on everyday.
Outside of work, what are your hobbies or interests?
I spend time with friends and families and love to go out on road trips whenever there is a long holiday.
