What is an MLAK Key?

MLAK stands for Master Locksmiths Access Key. It is a locking system which has been developed for use in public areas (restrooms) and provided to people with disabilities for access at all times.

The key hasa been adopted by many councils and organisations. Spinal Cord Injuries Australia maintains the register of facilities with MLAK systems install across the country.

The National Public Toilet Map can be used to locate more than 19,000 public and private public toilet facilities across Australia.
